My name is Lisa Holland and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist at Martin City Elementary and Middle School. This will be my 20th year working with students, 15 of which have been in the Grandview School District. I see students that have articulation errors, voice and fluency (stuttering) concerns. I also work with students that have language delays in the areas of vocabulary, grammar and social language.
I grew up on the east coast in a suburb of Washington D.C.. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland (Go Terps!!). I have a graduate degree from Rockhurst University in Communication Disorders and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence credential from ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association).
My husband and I celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary this June. We have two amazing daughters, Caitlin (Mizzou '14) and Lauren a junior at the University of Kansas. We also have two sweet pets, an English bulldog named Pippa and a cat named April.
I am looking forward to an exciting year at Martin City!
