Getting to Know the Teacher

I I have been teaching elementary school for the past 19 years. I have taught both 4th and 5th grade. This is my second year teaching 6th grade Social Studies.
I went to the University of Connecticut for my undergraduate degree in Anthropology and I went to Washington State for a masters in Archaeology. I completed all the course work but not my thesis because I decided to switch over to teaching! I graduated with a Masters of Teaching degree instead, in 2001, and I have been teaching ever since. I did work as an Archaeologist throughout my years at school and I have some pretty good stories!
I am originally from New Jersey. Most of my family still lives there, including my mom and dad and my 2 older brothers. I moved to Kansas City in 2001. I am married and just celebrated my 19th wedding anniversary! I have 2 kids, Maxwell and Gabrielle, who are in Middle and High School. I also have 3 cats! Kevin, Simon, and Zeus!
