6th Grade Field Trip to Folley Theatre

A Day To Remember

Students of Martin City were excited as they loaded the grand buses to head to the Folly Theatre to watch the world’s greatest dance company Alvin Ailey's perform. As we walked into the Folly theatre, it was beyond just mere words with an immense stage with red curtains draping over it and captivating lights. As the immense red stage opened everyone was at the edge of their seats, excited to see what was behind the stage. There they were, the dancers. The lady dancers with red dresses and their hair styled into a bun with a red flower on it and the men with black overalls which matched the red background. The performance was engaging, it was a blast, and it was choreographed perfectly. Everyone was clapping and cheering after it. All the students, couldn't wait to see more because the first performance they just saw wants to make them see more and more and more. All the performances were incredibly good, exciting, engaging, and just magnificent with all their graceful dancers. The Folly Theatre has given us all something to remember about it that we will never forget.
