This is a place that you can find many pieces of information to help your students solve the puzzle of math. 
 
 
Illustrative Math
 
The district is continuing our journey in Math with Illustrative Math.  I cannot tell you how excited I am to continue using this resource as part of the curriculum.  While it is challenging, it is encouraging students to look at math in different ways.  If you click on the following links, you can see the student work that is also located in their workbooks and/or look at the resource to give you an explanation of the Units.

6th Grade Team
 
I am always looking to keep the parent/teacher communication line open so please feel free to send me an email, give me a phone call or set up a meeting.  If you would like to meet with the entire team, please let one of the team teacher's know and we will work on getting you a time to meet with us.  The sixth grade team is comprised of Mrs. Havens, Ms. Wheeler, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Jeffersonand myself.  If you click on their name it will take you to their site.

I am proud to say that we are a BIST school.  It's about giving all students a support when emotions cloud our thinking.  BIST gives the teachers a chance to still work with the student on how to handle their emotions while still being successful in class.  Sometimes, we might need use the Safe Seat, or Buddy Room.  It is very important to remember that a student isn't in trouble, we are just trying to partner to be successful.  Here is parent brochure from BIST.
