Reading to Cats

First grade finished up their Wayside donation project by delivering OVER 120 needed items to Wayside Waifs! They took their field trip this morning for a tour of the facility and had a chance to read to the cats. Great job first grade!

Becoming Bears

First grade students took a trip to Anita B Gorman Conservation Center last week where they learned to find safety in the spring, learned the variety of food bears eat during the summer, and then created a den site for winter’s hibernation. After learning the variety of skills needed to survive, students emerged from the den as independent bears able to care for themselves.
